Danielle and Chris’s wedding was one of the most unique weddings we have done. It was filled with so many personal and unique details and you know how much we love our details! When I first met Chris and Danielle, I thought that they were just the cutest couple and it quickly became clear that were were meant to work together. Danielle was a very creative kind of gal and was hands on as where Chris was more of your “just tell me what to do” type of guy. All of our personalities worked together so well and I really enjoyed the whole process of helping make sure their wedding day all came together perfectly.
The big day was at the stunning Liberty House in Jersey City and has a breathtaking view of the New York City skyline and Lady Liberty herself. Not much décor was needed for such a beautiful venue, but Danielle added several little touches that made everything so much more perfect.
Danielle was dressed in a gorgeous Monique Lhuillier gown and had some of the best bridesmaids a girl could ask for. Each girl chose their own dress in different shades of pink while the boys looked dapper in grey tuxedos with blue accents.
The theme for the wedding was a travel theme as Danielle and Chris have been to many places together and actually plan to take a 5 month honeymoon and travel the world even more! Globes, maps and Polaroid cameras galore!
Everyone tries to think of different ways to incorporate their guests into the wedding day to make them feel more involved and have fun. But Chris and Danielle went above and beyond by having some really cute ideas that had everyone feeling the love.
The ceremony not only was romantic but tons of fun to be apart of. Each guest received a clear envelope filled with mini multicolored pom-pom balls inside which also doubled as the ceremony program and showcased the bridal party in a fun way. Once the love birds said “I DO” guests threw the pom-poms as they walked down the isle! Genius!
During cocktail hour, one of favorite areas was the DIY tattoo table, filled with fun temporary customized tattoos for guests to put on. Then everyone got to show their tattoos off in the photo booth near by! I mean what’s a wedding with out a photo booth, right?
The escort card table was especially fun. Instead of the usual place cards, the couple decided to have their guests find their names on clothes pinned maps and replace it with a fun picture of themselves by using a Polaroid camera (which was a cute vintage yellow by the way!).
At the reception, this awesome duo put together a heartfelt hilarious home video of themselves that was so sweet to watch! It showed both of them when they were kids up until the day they met showcasing all the places they have traveled together in between.
Lastly guests got to enjoy of variety of vintage candy from the couples generous candy bar.
This was hands down, one of my favorite weddings to coordinate and definitely one of the most charismatic couples I have had the pleasure to work with. I also was also excited to work with our amazing friend Vanessa Joy Photography, who captured every single moment perfectly!
